Since part (I) is well decoupled, scene-cut algorithms are not discussed in this paper. The BVI-1004K dataset we used for this experiment consists of 100 sequences in 3840? imes?2160 resolution, where each sequence contains a single scene (no scene-cuts). Practical encoders use some pre-defined configurations called preset to implement a flexible trade-off between encoding speed and compression efficiency. When using slower presets, the encoder will utilize more tools and computations to achieve better compression efficiency, and vice versa. In this paper, we consider expanding the encoding parameter space from (resolution, QP/CRF) to (preset, resolution, QP/CRF) in part (II) “Convex hull encoding”. More encoding parameter sets are tested for each shot in the video sequence. POSTSUBSCRIPT encoder pre-defined presets. POSTSUBSCRIPT quality levels (QP/CRF). CPU time in user-space used to represent complexity. Fig. 2: Encoded versions of (preset, resolution, QP/CRF) combinations of the shot “Aerial”. Legend with a larger size indicates larger spatial resolution, and the cooler color of the legend means the faster preset. Fig. 2 shows the rate-distortion-time (R-D-T) performance of all versions encoded in different parameters (preset, resolution, QP/CRF) of one shot. The RD performance of encoded versions in different presets may be similar, but the complexity gap among them is quite large. Thus Comparable RD performance can be achieved using a faster encoder preset in constrained complexity. This motivates us to explore a complexity-oriented per-shot solution. The proposed method focuses on part (III) “Analysis and Assemble”. Q ), rate-distortion-complexity analysis is required. For the target bitrate and complexity level, we need a method to optimize RD performance of assembled representation. This will be discussed in the next section. M is the total number of shots in the sequence.|The jugular vein runs up the side of your neck. The phrase "go for the jugular" means to attack a vital, vulnerable part of someone or something. It refers to the jugular vein, which runs on both sides of the neck of a person or animal and returns blood from the head to the heart. Serious injury to the jugular can drain blood from the head and brain and lead to a quick death. For patients with heart disease, cardiologists now often go to the jugular for help in making diagnosis and treatment decisions. Nowadays, some cardiologists evaluate blood pressure in the jugular as a part of their physical exams of heart patients and use this information to make their diagnoses. When the blood pressure in the jugular vein is higher than normal, its walls can swell or distend, resulting in a condition known as jugular venous distension. Cardiologists can estimate the blood pressure in the jugular vein (jugular venous pressure) by careful observation of the vein.
Extensive progresses have been made to model the temporal sequence for video recognition. 2D CNN for each frame and then aggregates the feature sequence for video recognition. Despite being straightforward by employing 2D CNN on video data, pixel-level temporal evolution over frames is overlooked. This type of networks builds temporal connections among pixels across space. Time at the expense of computational cost. 10G floating-number operations (FLOPs) for single crop on image data. This paper addresses a new direction that early fuses the information from video sequence to one synthetic frame. Despite being a 2D image, the frame captures motion dynamics and visual details of a sequence. In this way, 2D CNN can be employed to learn both visual appearance as well as temporal evolution from just one frame. To this end, the crucial issue of early fusion becomes what information deserves to be preserved in a synthetic frame. Therefore, we propose a novel Informative Frame Synthesis (IFS) architecture guiding the generation of synthetic frames by multiple pre-defined tasks and regularizers.
What's more, it's completely free. So how do you pin stuff to your Pinterest boards? The "Pin It" button comes in several forms. The easiest way to pin to Pinterest is to install what Pinterest describes in its welcome e-mail as a "bookmarklet" (i.e. the "Pin It" button). You can also pin by clicking the "add" button in the top navigation and pasting in a URL. However, it's much easier to install the "Pin It" bookmarklet and then click it whenever you surf past something you'd like to pin. There is no "Download the Pin It Button" call-out on the main page, so I had to hunt around for a few seconds before I found the bookmarklet they were talking about. It's located in the drop-down menu under "about." You'll also find it in the "goodies" section on the left sidebar navigation. I was using Chrome, so Pinterest instructed me to show my bookmarks bar. I suffered a few seconds of confusion since I already had my bookmarks bar displayed. However, by comparing the image in the convenient instructional video with my on-screen browser, it quickly became apparent that all I had to do was drag the "Pin It" button into my bookmarks bar to get started. Once I had the Pin It button installed, I was ready to start pinning my favorite sites to Pinterest. Was it as easy as clicking the Pin It button? I'm one of those frustrating people who never read an instruction manual. So, once I had my "Pin It" button installed, I skipped the "getting started" section and immediately began surfing the Web looking for something to pin. And speaking of "pin," one of my favorite bands, Pinback, has a new record coming out on Oct. 16, 2012. Pinback: What a perfect first thing to pin! 1 in 5 Women Use Pinterest. So Where's the Money?
POSTSUBSCRIPT should have their internal structure affected by electron-degeneracy as they contract gravitationally after their formation. Those objects should be unable to release enough energy from hydrogen nuclear burning, since their central temperatures begin to decrease after degeneracy proceeds. They should never go through the usual stellar evolution phases, living as ”failed” stars. The theoretical calculations of the two pioneer papers in 1963 marked the birth of brown dwarfs fifty years ago. Following these predictions, the motivation was there for more theoretical calculations and evolutionary models for brown dwarfs Grossman (1970); Straka (1971); Rappaport and Joss (1984), followed by many others. With the discovery of the first genuine brown dwarfs about 20 years ago, (see the chapters by R. Rebolo, G. Basri, and by B. Oppenheimer in this volume), the theory and modelling of brown dwarfs have constantly developed and improved. The first major theoretical challenge was the development of an equation of state (EOS hereafter) appropriate for the description of the dense and relatively cool interior of brown dwarfs, accounting for the effects of electron partial degeneracy and interaction between particles, namely molecules, atoms, ions and electrons (see Chabrier and Baraffe (2000) and references therein).|Every day, a number of things happen all around the world. Every knowledgeable person would like to get in touch with all the latest news. The best way of doing it is by reading a newspaper. When we talk about newspapers, then there is no comparison with a country named India because in India, newspapers are printed in such a huge quantity and in so many languages. India alone can match many companies when it comes to printing the newspapers. Moreover, Indians love reading the news, whether regional, national or international. The newspaper plays a very important part in the lives of the Indian people. People start their routines by reading the morning newspaper along with a cup of tea. A newspaper gives them all the necessary news about the nation and the world. It is a great habit to read the newspaper as one gets to know a lot of new information regarding what's happening in the world. India is a big country and it is not possible that a day would pass by without any incident, whether good or bad.
Released only the year before "Believe," it was the recording industry's favorite dirty secret: With only a few clicks of a mouse, Auto-Tune could turn even the most cringe-worthy singer into a pop virtuoso. But most music studios kept it around simply to fix with the occasional wrong note. During the recording sessions for "Believe," however, Cher's British producers had put the software into overdrive. Instead of lightly tuning the pitch of Cher's voice, they had adjusted the levels so sharply that it became an unmistakable part of the song. The effect was weird and robotic, but against a background of synthesizers and high-energy percussion, it worked like a charm. Opera singers have long been using vibrato, a technique of delivering a note in a constantly wavering pitch. As far as Cher and her producers were concerned, though, Auto-Tune was simply a computerized twist on the technique. As "Believe" hit the airwaves, the producers aimed to keep the lid on their new toy.
